2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Hybrid — Cars.com

GM is making a really big push for electrified vehicles in the coming years – and not just Chevrolet mass-market econo-hatches. We’re talking about things like the 2017 CT6 Plug-In Hybrid from Cadillac. And with the popularity of luxury cars like Tesla taking off, Cadillac’s decided to test the waters themselves with the CT6: a leather-lined luxury land yacht that you can plug into a wall.

  1. Who Drives a Cadillac …. One , Someone that can afford one , two Someone over 50 , Three someone that enjoys luxury and my CT6 plug in has a lot of power with the Turbo. The transition from Electric to Gas and back is smooth and quiet . The price of REGULAR is now at 2.48 a gallon , this car burns Hi-Test ( 91 octane or higher ) . After owning the car 3 months , I stopped and put all of 6 gallons into it , which I had to force into the cap-less tank at $3.15 a gallon . … at this rate it will pay for itself at the pump. Current mileage showing 132.5 mpg … total miles 2175 ( electric 1739 miles ) Getting up on the highway is lightening fast . My only complaint … Sits to low and Tire Stops and Curbs SCARE ME but the front camera comes on and tells me when and where all objects are out front. Love the birds eye view surround that lets me know whats around the car when backing and the self parking program is a breeze . Perhaps my favorite toy is the Cruise Control where the car will maintain a distance from the vehicle in front of me and as they slow down I slow down … no more kicking the cruise off because traffic is slowing .

  2. I really my CT6 Plug-in but its sits so darn low and I have trouble clearing speed bumps . SLOW AND EASY over railroad tracts and pot holes scare the hell out of me …. Its great that the front camera comes on when guiding into a parking space or judging parking in the garage. I am thrilled with the plug-in fuel savings and after 4 months of ownership just put a 1/4 tank of premium fuel 91 octane or higher . Next car will be a plug in SUV with all the toys …..

  3. My 2017 CT6 Plug-in delivered just 2.5 months ago started out with 31 EV miles and now that the weather has dropped in temperature to the 30's , parked in the garage and charged up on a 240 charger the dash is only registering 28 miles available on a full charge . …… Can someone tell me why ?

  4. Pretty useless in my opinion. What is the point of a hybrid that gets the same MPG as the non-hybrid version? You can go up to 31 miles on an overnight electric charge ($2.16)? You get a lot of tax credits and can drive in the HOV lane? I really can't think of a good reason to get this over the luxury CT6 since the benefits are trivial at the expense of cargo capacity, weight, and a more complex drive-train.

  5. Don't waste your time with this car. The Volvo S90 T8 Inscription is all you need, and it's also made in China.
