The movement continues. We must look after our beautiful planet…
Education is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to the planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defence of environmental protection.
The theme for Earth Day 2017 is Environmental and Climate Literacy. Before we can solve the dire environmental threats of the 21st century, we must build a global citizenry knowledgeable in environmental science and fluent in local and global ecological issues.
For Earth Day 2017 we are launching toolkits to give to schools, colleges, and community groups across the world the educational resources to hold their own teach-ins for Environmental and Climate Literacy or other Earth Day actions.
Earth Day 2016 was a success. Below you can see the numerous events that were held around the world. Soon you will be able to register your event for Earth Day 2017 and we will again compile a map of all events so you can find the one closest to you.
