  1. my water is too hot to touch! and it only fires up when the pressure is on minimum…. it's either ice bucket challenge or hell

  2. There is not always access to a hose, can this be used with out a water hose connection? I'd love to buy one but if theres no way to use it in such a way then it's a no go for me unfortunately 🙁

  3. I have been sooo excited to install this.  Now that it's installed I can't get it to work 🙁  Fresh batteries, fresh LP tank.  So bummed!  I was hoping to find some trouble shooting videos on here, but I can't find one….

  4. A HUGE  disappointment; tread carefully.
THE  questions  to ask ~ and get the answer on paper! ~ is  how  'hot' the  water  gets  and how  much is  produced  at  that  temperature.
For the  little heater demonstrated ~ no matter  what the brand-name is, they're all  the same ~ I  found that just over 40 deg.C is all I  could  get; and that at a  piddling 4 litres per minute. Try to push it any harder  and it switches off.  Even pre-heating the water doesn't help:  they're  designed to switch off at 50 deg.C
Keep in  mind  that body  temperature is 37degC  to start with.  And  using the  luke-warm water to wash a  few dishes, forget it!

  6. Im sure this is a dumb ? but does it need to be taken down in the winter? the reason I ask if also for horses. I would like to be able to give warm water in the winter. I can hang it outside the barn and run a long enough garden hose. How do I protect it from snow & ice in the winter.

  9. Would this be safe inside a barn? I have horses I like to give hot water to in the winter to warm them up. Right now I carry 10 gallon buckets from the house to the barn twice a day and it's not easy when it's freezing outside.

  10. Could you use an infrared thermometer and let me know how hot that pipe actually gets? If you do not have one I will send you mine.

  12. Thanks for your review. I don't love its digital display (will be off grid, I prefer no lights/ no beeps) but it is small and affordable. Pg 7 of the online installation manual says "the unit should not be installed in the same room with a gas stove." I am building a tiny house, 160sq ft foot print–one room with an Atwood oven/range and Quadrafire DV IPI Garnet. Is this just a thing they have to say for safety because a gas stove could theoretically leak? Also considering the more $$ but greater clearances Rinnai V65iP. Ideally there is a heater out there for me: 1-2 people, dishes by hand, showers, 2 solar panels with 2 batteries, 2 30 gal propane tanks (tied). In upstate NY, probably burying a 55 gal drum for water source, so may need to heat up 70*

  14. Instead of adding more propane, you could run it more efficiently if you added water storage on the inlet side thereby allowing incoming water temp to increase in winter months

  15. One other thing. In your video, you referenced upgraded to the back flow preventer/flapper to prevent the cold weather from freezing in the northern areas. Is this part included in the link you sent me.

  17. Long but good info ~ I use the L10, 1st you must supply it with 1/2" pipe. Mines working very well after putting in a regulator on the entire system I have mine on. I recommend one so the water pressure is stable. Even on City water it varies. So use this rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575119394&toolid=10001&campid=5337663791&customid=Regulation+Valves&icep_item=351976689805&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg 1/2 Inch and set it for about 5 psi under your normal pressure. You will be happy you did. Also a check valve right before the heater inlet & after the regulator helps when your using cold/hot mixing rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575119394&toolid=10001&campid=5337663791&customid=Anti+Back+Flow&icep_item=161320356834&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg 1/2"
As for output, really good for a one bath and kitchen set up. I have the smaller one in my RV mounted above my toilet in a metal cabinet with intake and exhaust to the outside. I like them a lot.
