  1. I just came across your videos.  I really enjoyed it.  I will be a beginner this year but my fiancée knows a lot about farning as his grandfather had a farm for years until he passed. My fiancée job kept him on the road but now he is back so we are starting our own little garden this year.  We live in South Carolina.  I want a greenhouse or something better but he says he does not know about that right now but you know us women always get what we want. I am really excited but do not know where to start.  I want veggies and fruit but I can't spend hours a day because we both are not spring chicken (late 40s) and have demanding jobs.  Thanks for any advice.

  3. Did you just say there is such a thing as a perennial basil?? I've been looking for something like that since the basil have a repelling effect to mosquitoes.

  4. re: the growing inside – love the idea about growing lettuce at your desk, but not only does it provide light for a workspace, but it also is great for people with SAD – seasonal affective disorder – for those that suffer during those long dreary winter days.

  5. I'm on well water so I don't have any of that toxic crap in my water. I can really tell the difference when I go anywhere else and drink water. I make sure to always take water with me.

  6. The only way to remove 99% of Fluoride is to steam distill your water (nothing heavier than steam can rise to the top of the distiller so it strips everything out, even minerals, lead, iron, etc). You can buy 1 gallon size distillers at H20Labs(dot)com for $200 or look on Ebay maybe for a larger one at a fair price. I just run my water through one of the cheap "PUR" filters for my plants to get some of the chlorine out as it is really harmful to them. Distilled water is good for starting babys.
