we don’t have to do anything to the Earth to overcome environmental destruction, we have to change ourselves, and then the Earth’s climate and environment will follow. Remember, the Earth is just mirroring our thoughts, words, and actions. Destroying the planet we live on, the planet that is our home, is insanity. Where does humanity expect to plant their feet if they continue to destroy their home? This planet is our home, and to purposely destroy it is madness. To purposelessly kill others, who in reality are ourselves in different bodies, is also the result of a lack of awareness of the connectiveness of all life on Earth.
This video is a bunch of junk. Sorry. Global warming is not causing more storms and droughts. NOAA's own data on strong tornadoes shows a 60-year downtrend. Charts by Dr. Ryan Maue on hurricane counts and ACE (accumulated cyclone energy) both show 30- to 40-year downtrends.
Global Warming is good. It made civilization possible 12,000 years ago. Are you smart enough to tell us why? And that was a far faster warming than our current, weak warming period — +5C warming in 50 years at the end of the Younger Dryas.
We currently live in an Ice Age. Warming is the solution! If we get another massive cooling like the 1816 year without a summer, we could end up with thousands or even billions dead. Because the Holocene is already overdue to end, and the sun is going into another Solar Minimum, government plans to seed the upper atmosphere could trigger a catastrophic global cooling that could trigger the abrupt end of the Holocene and plunge us into another glacial period of the current Ice Age. That would give us another 90,000 years without summer.
Pray for more warming. End the damned Ice Age.
And that picture at 1:14 is pure propaganda. No warming in our modern era will scorch the Earth. For a +20C of warming almost none of it would go to the equator, and nearly all of it would go to the upper latitudes, especially the poles. No scorching. Only melting ice and making more of the world pleasant for life. What's wrong with that?
So, you have a choice:
1) Promote Global Cooling and risk destroying civilization and killing several billion people (cold, starvation, lack of rain), or
2) Promote Global Warming and risk the inconvenience of having to move civilization to higher ground, or to build dikes around sensitive areas.
With cooling, you kill most humans and destroy civilization; with warming, you lose some real estate and save all of humanity and civilization. The choice is pretty clear. Only, it seems the psychopaths don't want most of us around.
