Climatographs Song

Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.

Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Hold tight, climatographs all you need
Rising, falling, temps year ’round
And the rain is falling down
Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Bar and line graph

Tropical Rainforest found near the equator
And this biome holds more species of animals ever
Temperature/rainfall steady throughout the year
Helping animals living in distinct layers

And if that’s not enough, we’ll go to the tundra
The ground is frozen permafrost, no way trees growing ever
And all water is snow and ice precipitation
Furthest from equator camouflaged in white-animals

So take a deep breath, taiga’s up right
The biggest biome most of Asia, Canada combined
Summers are warmer, the ice will melt right
With elk and moose and bear
These animals have furry coats type

Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Hold tight, climatographs all you need
Rising, falling, temps year ’round
And the rain is falling down
Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Bar and line graph

Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh

This is the desert biome hotter, but at night it is freezing
Water drying up less than 25 cm you read it
To whom it may concern, different deserts here
They can be rocky, made of sand or even ice, yeah

Grasslands are up, not many trees here
Gets a lot of sun the farming is great there
Savannahs, prairies, steppe, that’s what we name it
It has the Leo the Lion, giraffes, and the zebras

The temperate forest four seasons not taken for granted
It holds opossums, mice, and skunks this forest it has it
When weather starts to nip, the birds fly out of it
You’ll see the bears hibernate waiting out the snow, like

Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Hold tight, climatographs all you need
Rising, falling, temps year ’round
And the rain is falling down
Hey oh, what’s the biome? Let’s see
Bar and line graph

Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh

And there’s times we’re like
We find it hard
To tell the climate of a place
That has rainfall and temperatures
But you then remember
If you know the climate you’ll know you’ll see
Climatographs, they’ll help you read
C’mon
