Toshiba presents a revolutionary battery for the electric car with 320 km of autonomy that needs 6 minutes to charge.
They promise to put an end to one of the main problems of the expansion of the electric car: the long recharge time they need. Thanks to its ultra-fast charging capacity, the new battery, which is still in the testing phase, is able to acquire enough energy to travel 320 km after only 6 minutes connected to the current, three times more than lithium-ion batteries.

  1. Bullshit. 300 miles after a 12 minute would need 480 volts 3 phase, at least. 100 amps? Where, at your house, could you charge it? Oh, yes, and cables an average woman would have trouble handling.

Then there are the losses in the charge circuitry. Would make a big bang if anything goes wrong.

  2. There is no such thing as a zero emissions vehicle, the electricity comes from a power plant, the materials its made from require manufacturing causing a carbon footprint.

  3. If this were True, Musk would be in Big Trouble as his Battery Factory would be Obsolete before it's even finished. I don't think it's gonna happen that soon though.

  4. HOW would it be Possible to charge a "Battery" of any type this fast???  If your charging cord is rated at 100 Amps then that limits the charge rate…….Or is this different Tech that is charged in a completely strange way?

  5. Battery alone would cost about 35k and require more than 400 amps of dedicated current to charge in 6 minutes. You won’t be plugging this in your 110 outlet at home. Enjoy that $1000.00 monthly electric bill. Retards still don’t seem to understand how it was generated in the first place.

  6. No way. 6 minutes with normal electric power wouldnt work. If it was 10000 volt charger with high amps then maybe!
