  1. In Pakistan, these beautiful animals are called "Guldaar" by the local people; which literally translates to "the one with the floral patterns".. such a poetic name for such a fierce predator 🙂

  3. Panthera uncia is such an elegant and beautiful animal, and you can seen how it is very related to the prehistoric Nimravids such as Dinictis and Nimravus itself. It’s very heartbreaking to know such a gorgeous predator is highly endangered, in 2014 it was estimated there were only 8,700 Snow Leopards left in the world, and that number is expected to decline by 10% in years to come.
