Energy is a critical resource required in order to provide the needed power to sustain the economies of the world and the personal needs of families. Examples of sources of energy include the burning of coal and oil, nuclear energy, electricity from dams, etc.
However, with the ever grow population of the world and the corresponding increase of energy needs, there is a concern about global warming and corresponding challenge of meeting the energy needs.
Subsequently, a critical solution is the discovery and development of clean renewable energy. Therefore, it is important to understand what clean renewable energy is and examples of these types of energy sources.
Definition Of Clean Renewable Energy
Clean renewable energy is defined as energy that is created and produced in which there is no release of harmful emissions or toxins into the Earth's atmosphere. Additionally, by definition, clean energy is renewable energy. In others words a power sources that, when utilized, does not deplete the limited natural resources of the planet.
Currently, the bulk of the world's energy supply is being obtained through fossil fuel. Examples of this fossil fuel could include oil and coal. These types of fuel sources are not considered clean because when they are burned there are various harmful by-products released into the atmosphere. Some of these by-products include carbon monoxide and other greenhouse gases which upset the delicate balance of the environment and cause the earth's temperature to increase.
Examples Of Clean Renewable Energy
There are a variety of clean renewable energy sources that are currently being harnessed for power. Specifically, two of those clean renewable energy sources include the Sun's powerful rays and the ever blowing winds that sweep over the planet's surface.
In regards to the Sun, the powerful daily light from the Sun can be captured through solar panels and converted to electrical power. In addition, the constant wind, in some geographical locations, can actually turn large propeller like devices which in turn, through their rotation, turn a generator which can ultimately generate electricity.
Additionally, there are clean renewable energy sources that are being tested as potential power sources. One prime example of this developing technology is the ocean and more specifically the ocean's waves. Ongoing research to find new sources of clean renewable energy finds researchers installing devices on the ocean's floor to capture the constant movement of the ocean. This movement, in turn, moves generator type of devices which ultimately creates electric power.

For the most part no one disputes the fact that energy is a necessary component of the global community. However, the type of energy developed and utilized is where many individuals tend to disagree.
That is because there are basically two types of energy. Those two types of energy sources include energy fuels that can be considered unclean or unsafe for the environment and clean or safe energy sources that are non-damaging to the environment.
Therefore, when discussing clean energy power it is important to know a number of a factors. Three of those factors include knowing what clean energy power is, examples of this type of power and the benefits of clean energy power.
What Is Clean Energy Power?
Clean energy power can be defined by a two prong definition. The first part of that definition is that the cultivation, processing or manufacturing of this type of energy is accomplished in a manner that is earth friendly or does not promote the toxins into the earth's atmosphere.
The second pronged aspect of the definition of clean energy or clean renewable energy is that the power manufactured does not deplete the limited resources of the earth or release toxins into the earth's atmosphere.
Examples Of Clean Energy Power
There are a variety of clean energy power processes that have been developed or are in the process of being developed. One of those clean energy power system utilizes wind power.
Specifically, there are a number of wind fields that have been developed. Typically, these fields have been constructed on geographical locations where the movement of the earth's wind are significant. These wind fields are giant windmill-like towers in which the propellers move when the wind blows. This in turns activates the generators which produces electricity. This electricity is then captured by power grids. Today, most wind generated electricity is packaged together with traditionally created electricity and sold to customers.
Another example of clean energy power that is created is through solar panels. Currently, there are a number of new homes that are equipped with solar panels. These panels consist of photovoltaic cells and are linked together to capture the Sun's rays. Usually, these units face South and through a process this solar energy is captured and converted into electric power. This power system can either be linked to batteries or can be directly wired into the electrical system of the home or other building.

There are many types of energy fuels that are available to individuals and businesses. Generally, these fuels provide the energy needed to manufacture products, heat and cool offices and homes, provide energy to meet transportation needs, etc.
In addition, most of these current energy sources, when expended, omit various negative types of ommissions. Some of these ommissions include carbon monoxide, greenhouse gases, methane, etc. In turn these ommissions damage the environment and contribute to global warming.
Therefore, it is important to discover, develop and implement clean energy fuel sources. To help in this process it is important to understand the types of clean energy fuel and the advantages of this type of fuel.
Types Of Clean Energy Fuel
There are various types of clean energy fuels that are available or are being developed. Some of these clean energy fuels are in the early developmental states and some have are being utilized with great success.
An example of a clean energy power that is being experimented with is drawing power from the ocean. In reality the ocean waves are constantly moving. Therefore, if this movement or flowing action were to be captured, the movement could conceivably activate generators which in turn could be transformed into a clean energy fuel.
Another type of clean energy fuel that has been developed with great success is the harnessing of the Sun's powerful light. Specifically, the light is captured by solar panels which in turn is transformed into usuable power through a photovoltaic system. This solar energy then becomes a clean energy power source to provide needed energy in solar powered homes.
Additionally, experiments are being conducted on solar paneled cars. These prototypes are equipped with solar panels on the roof of the vehicle which provide fuel as part of a hybrid car or fully solar powered car.
One other type of clean energy fuel that is being developed is through the use of wind. This natural resource turns propellers that are mounted on a tall structure. The turning of the propellers then activates a generator which in turn creates electricity. This electricity is then captured through power grids and then utilized as electricity.
Advantages Of Clean Energy Fuel
There are many advantages associated with utilizing clean energy fuel. The primary advantage of individuals utilizing this type of fuel is that less pollutants and toxins are released into the atmosphere.
This in turn reduces greenhouse gases and helps to minimize global warming. Additionally, it helps to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem which in turns preserves the Earth's environment.
