The best portable Solar Panel in 2017?

Is this 100W portable solar panel from Lensun the biggest ever? I’ve previously shown you small 10W or 20W USB solar panels but this thing takes it to a new level!

This 12V portable solar panel is ideal for camper vans, RVS, motor homes, caravans, boats and yachts. Due to the portability, you can easily move it around depending on your location.

Unlike traditional panels which might be permanently mounted to your vehicle, you can fold these up and place it safely inside at night. You can also adjust the angle to get the most power from the sun, instead of having them mounted flat to the roof of your vehicle.

Coming from the Monocrystalline solar cells is a negative and positive cable which are terminated in traditional solar MC4 connectors. Simply connect them to your charge controller and start adding juice to your exist deep cycle batteries in your recreational vehicle.

  1. As mentioned in the video, this is only an initial introduction to the solar panel. In a future video, when the sun is out in full force, i'll connect the panel to a charge controller and have it charge a deep cycle lead-acid battery and we'll measure the power being generated. Most people would use this for recreational vehicles, boats, yachts etc. But I wanted to show that you could also use it as a fully portable unit if you wanted.

  2. I do hope it gets like at least 75 watts but maybe it will get like 50-65 watts, solar is like that in most cases. I hope it performs as advertised and does close to 100 watts out.

  5. Did you get confused!? I wonder if the supplier was happy with this terrible promotional video!? So 100W a large size and everyone carries a car adaptor to charge their items …. Hmm so the little 11W solar charger which is about 10% size also! would be the much better option for everyone to take their own wouldn't it !!!! your commentary is amateurish drivel !

  6. Just a 100 Watts!! Almost the same size that you put on the roof and rated 250 Watts on an average. Still not very efficient.

  7. Your intro reminds me of a typical infomercial. You only left out "Introducing… the Lensun 100W solar panel!" haha. Then the latter "wait there's more!" hehe.

I wish they designed it in a way that the legs are built in so you don't have any chance of losing those parts and it would be more convenient. Probably in the next version.

What's the typical you can get from the panel? And is there like a lifespan for solar panels? Like do they decrease in their efficiency/output? Sorry still a newbie about these.

  8. As it is, I think such type of solar panels is useful for e-vehicles. Hopefully, they can make the next generation PV's more efficient and lighter.
