Sixth-grade science students saw an example this week of what a quick change in temperature can cause. Liquid Nitrogen is colder than –200 degrees Celsius, and when it contacts warmer masses, it boils and rapidly converts to gas, greatly expanding in volume. In an enclosed space, such as a water bottle with a cap, it will cause an explosion that is powerful enough to blow a plastic bucket high in the air. That’s the fun part. Watch the video to enjoy the effects of the Second Law of Thermodynamics: Heat moves from a warmer mass to a cooler one.

damn the bucket didn't land
Formula for nitrogen?
The perfect countdown was shocking
no speacial effects just a perfectly timed boom
Nice, however i must say that the older teacher or more realistically the administrator who is standing there in normal reading glasses did not set a good safety example
Wow
Nice lesson! A+
that´s thermal enrgy demostration
awesome.. nice job
Science Good times!
