This is a great primer, and I think it would be even more powerful if it included some other tools for achieving greener buildings. LEED is a wonderful tool that has certainly driven the market. Also powerful are the Living Building Challenge and Passive House, to name just two. The USGBC has aligned with others systems also, such as WELL.
