  1. A Honda Insight is not a good example of a "dedicated hybrid" since that Honda car is only manufactured as a hybrid, unlike the accord hybrid or the civic hybrid

  2. Mileage drops in the cold, usually around the mid 30 or 20 Degrees. But it'll come back up, once the car gets warmed up, especially if you got a long commute or Back Roads, you can Regen the brakes and coast a lot under 40, you'll get the MPG's back up in about 15 minutes.

  3. What a lot of people don't understand about hybrid cars is that there is still a gas engine in there and the plants that make the batteries and that supply energy for the batteries are worst for the enviroment then driving an average gas car for years.

Bateries are very friendly for the enviroment, and most are recyclable! Hybrids use gasoline as well. prices os these cars are to high to start making sense! Hybrids have no power and are very heavy. To replace a Batery cell after warranty, almost favourable to most customers. Gasoline and diesel is the way to go! Horse power comes from big engines that burn gas, not electricity. More car for less money= Gasoline or Diesel cars. Save the planet. Stop production of Li-po Bateries that are bad!

  5. I do have to say that if you're driving at highway speeds covering over 200 miles range daily, you're still getting like 40+ mpg on a Prius with a 600 lb load on it. That still exceeds 99% of cars
