Scientists overwhelmingly agree that our climate is changing, Earth is getting warmer, sea levels are rising, and it’s primarily because of humans putting lots of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Whether you already trust in the science, you’re undecided, or you disagree with what all this, this video is for you!

Want to learn about the science of climate change and why humans are causing it, but in layman’s terms? I recommend these books:

  1. If we build the massive wind farms the left wants, what will the effect of slowing down the wind have on our climate?

  2. so 800 years ago the temprature hit the same as today?
i know we are making a difference, but some people seem to think tempratures would stay the same if we released zero emissions.

  3. Climate change is a fact, but I am not yet sure we are causing it. The only argument is the carbon isotopes argument, could you develope more on that please? Thank you, I want to prove to my friends we are causing it.

  4. Animal agriculture accounts for 70-80% of deforestation, causes more greenhouse gas emissions than ALL of transport combined, and uses vastly unsustainable amounts of land, energy, and water.

Don't be selfish, and make the easy and delicious change to veganism :)

  5. As an admittedly uninformed skeptic, I find the staw-man at 0:51 off-putting. Less than one minute into a supposedly scientific explanation of why I should accept what climate scientists say, I'm hit with a straw man that basically ridicules all skepticism as irrational conspiracy theory. The companion piece to this "Why people don't believe in Climate Change" Was equally condescending and snarky basically saying that my brain is stuck in cave-man mode. Apparently you guys have no idea why otherwise rational people don't trust the conclusions of climate science. There are actual rational reasons. It would have been nice if those reasons could have been addressed.

3:26 There's one reason why I'm skeptical. Simulations. So much of this rides on the trustworthiness of simulations written by people who went into the climate field, very likely BECAUSE they believed the climate was changing and that man was responsible. How do I know that this bias is not being programmed into the simulation. "Opps! Looks like the simulation is not working right, we are not getting the "right" answer, tweak those numbers a bit."

In the 80's they told us (in elementary school, through a program called CARE), that by 2001 we'd all have to wear protective suits to be able to go outside. Also we were supposed to have used up all the oil by 2001 (or maybe it was 2010). They told us a lot of stuff that wasn't true. So forgive me for not trusting these people, they have a bad track record that they have NEVER addressed. Why were they wrong in the 80's, and why are they right now? The kids who were brainwashed in the 80's are they heading up these climate science research projects?

I don't trust climate scientists because they are living in an echo chamber where the only acceptable answer to any question is the popular one. That isn't science. Science is about skepticism, when skepticism dies, so does scientific inquiry. I'm not denying anything, I'm still skeptical, that's all.

  6. I do believe in climate change, but Bill Nye is going to be wrong about Miami being underwater in 2030, which is just 13 years away.

  7. how do we know ckimate change is being caused by humans and not part of a cycle, much like the ice age every few tens of thousands of years.

  8. Anyone who thinks they know more than the WORLD WIDE 97% of people who's professional job it is to study this is a fucking joker….

Claiming that evolution or man enhanced climate change is not real is like saying that the holocaust never happened or and that cigarettes aren't harmful. Therefore believing anti scientific crooked politicians that are funded by the fossil fuel industry..while claiming that they are all untrustworthy to begin with over the 97 world wide consensus from PROFESSIONALS in that field for a living is a MORE THAN OBVIOUS IDEOLOGICAL CLAIM.

  10. Science isn't about BELIEF. It's about PREDICTIONS. What ARE the scientists trying to tell us? I've heard legit scientists say that creating a predictive model relating CO2 emissions (or reduction in CO2 emissions) to global temperature is impossible. When put under the gun they can not give clear, predictive models. In any other branch of science this would raise legitimate skepticism. The big problem is that there's so many politicians, activists, lobbyists and the media driving a disproportiante and largely irrelevant side discussion about belief and fear that really doesn't care about the science at all.

  11. lol I shared it with my dad and he says it's a hoax perpetrated by the liberal media in a global attempt to redistribute wealth because they're communist. I don't know how that connects in his brain, but there's not much I can do. If he's any representation of what trump is like on issues like climate change, then this world is fucking screwed.
