Very useful tips sir. Thank you
"Hot Water" heater?
this guy looks like the Joey chesnut guy at the hotdog eating contests..
I have a cold water heater .
Why does anyone hard pipe to the heater. Flex lines in copper or stainless steel are available. Expansion tanks are a state or code in Ca. When you have politicians making laws the price goes up and uselessness happens Many water heaters come with enclosed burners, so you have to hold down the pilot light and push the spark button. Because of this enclosed system many of these fail after a couple years because of dust clogging the screen cutting off air to the burner and a new one has to be installed. Another useless law. They should have left the area open as was intended. Expansion tanks are another law the politicians thought up. It is very rare that a water heater needs this. Another law to protect us from ourselves. If you think these are bad, how about the 1.2 gallon toilet to save water.?
the number one mistake is calling it a hot water heater!
It's a water heater not a hot water heater.
we replace the pressure valve on our hot water heater with a new one,Β but water seems to still be dripping from the pipe attached to it…Help
great tips but I have never seen a hot water heater the only ones I buy are COLD water heaters
hired a plumber and he did what you said not to he welded the fittings right on top of the tank so now i got them coming back to see if they damaged the dip tube is it possible to inspect the dip tube for damage ?
bolshit un profissional plumbers
Another mistake, my heating guy didn't follow the directions on my indirect hot water tank. He plumbed the port on the tank that says "Boiler Return" to the Boiler input, and the port on the tank that says "Boiler Input" to the Boiler Return. In the old days that was how they did it thinking the hottest part of the boiler entering the coldest part of the tank = highest amount of heat transfer = highest efficiency, and many follow how it was done previously, even though it's wrong. That KILLS the recovery of the tank as the bottom of the tank has a lot of water currents with the cold coming in that scrubs the heat away from the pipe and hot + cold = warm water and what's left in the pipe isn't warm enough to heat properly so you run out of hot water in about 15-20 minutes plumbed that way. Plumbed properly, the hottest part enters the upper part of the tank where you need it, and then exits the bottom where the remainder of the heat gets scrubbed by the turbulent cold supply = more, longer, hotter showers = winner.
how do you change an on/off switch on an electric water heater, please. mine broke.
Hot water doesn't need to be heated. Don't you mean a cold water heater?
most building codes do not allow the top valve to discharge into the pan……………….
Thanks Dave.
Was cutting the wire off of one the other day and almost shocked myself good. Had gloves on. I checked the electric and it said 0 kw per hour and there was no main electric off switch on the breaker so i flipped all the breakers. What did i do wrong
That's why I have a water heater which heats the water as its needed. No need to have immersion heaters like these constantly keeping water hot. I run the hot water tap in my house and within 10 seconds or so I have very hot water coming out nice and fast. Pretty sure its cheaper too.
COOL!
We recently had a new water heater installed, and now our water smells strongly like petroleum. What is that?
Nice video. I learned a lot, like knowing now why these heaters cost a lot of money. It's a work of art. π
I have a steady stream of water leaking from the bottom, at the back, where pilot is. Im assuming I should turn off water. Do I turn it off at tank? Or do I turn it off at the water main?
Thank you for an informative video! π
please reply wehre should i set we have Low, A B C and Very hot where should i set the temp we dont have hate in our water when i go basement the setting was on Low i am scared to change the setting coz i really dont knew idea how this things work,,,,
thanks
woah, I learned so much!! π
Incredibly elaborate and informative video. Thank you for sharing with us. I will use your company for parts on future orders.
Once I lite pilot light & tank heat up water but after that may be 6 hours I notice not pilot light. So why I am loosing pilot light?.
so the water heater will automatically reignite it's self and turn it self off???
Thanks for the information.
One thing I've been confused about is what controls the burner? When and why does it shut off? And when and why does it turn back on? Is it a pressure reader or a thermostat? I've always found that confusing.
Btw. Good video. π
so if the heater is turned on in the bed room, and the air temperature is not as hot as before or almost room temperature, it is possible the dip tube could be broken off or has holes in them, am i correct ? thanks !
very nicely done, thank you
I like your shows
very good video
couldnt explain it any better very detailed knowledege

great video, thanks
Water is to long getting hot.& the tank look,s good. what,s wrong?
