  25. If my only choices were tap water or bottled water, I would choose tap water. Bottled water is often nothing more than bottled tap water anyway. But those are not your only choices.

    You can get a good quality water filter and filter your own water at home. Then you don't have to support the bottled water companies and he don't have to worry about the contaminants that are found in your tap water.

  26. I live in one of the larger cities in NC. My apartment complex prorates the water bill here, and it's $45 dollars a month. If I'm paying that much for tap water you're damn right I'm drinking it. Surprisingly, the water in the city tastes a lot better than the water I had when I lived in a rural town…go figure.

  28. This is a typical news piece that overlooks much while suggesting wrong conclusions. Firstly, taste, while important, is not always a good way to tell if the water you are drinking is good quality or not. There are many contaminants that do not add any taste to water at all, but are never the less potentially dangerous. Also, chlorine, a poisonous gas mandated by the EPA to be added to public water supplies for disinfection purposes has been proven to cause bladder cancer in humans along with many other ailments. This segment never even mentioned chlorine at all. Bottled water has no chlorine, which alone makes it more desirable, and safer. To say nothing of higher levels of heavy metals like lead, mercury, silver etc. They are in your water, make no mistake, the EPA never denies it. So pay no attention to this type of drivel, it holds little air, or water!!

  29. Filtered tap water is the best water you can drink!People at work whine and bitch if we run out of bottled water when we have filtered water in our break room that tastes much better than bottled with the plastic after taste!

  32. They never showed the faucet the "New York tap" water came from. Likely it was filtered for the test making it no different than bottled water. Your unfiltered tap water contains rust and metal particles from the miles of pipe it travels through. All for free!
